Hat's off to all of you for your great holiday knitting stories. I will leave the contest open until Christmas day. You can leave comments on this post as well and then I'll put all the names in the proverbial hat to draw a winner. I've really enjoyed reading your stories. Good to know I'm not the only crazy one to start a project at the last minute and stay up late to finish it or delude myself in to thinking that it will be quick and easy! And all of us are going to call Alison H. when we need to tell someone how we really feel!
I finished the hat for Horsey Girl's friend Jenny and I'm very happy with how it turned out. This is the second hat I've made with Classic Elite Inca Print. The first one "blobbed" colors but this one went in a spiral so that was pretty cool. The top of both have similar striping so not really sure why the difference but I did use different patterns. Now off to start some Christmas presents . . . .

Allison if you will send me your email I will give you information about the orange mitts. I also have a free child sized mitt pattern on the side bar of my blog, I think it just says free pattern if you are interested in that for you daughter.
The hat looks great!!!
Check the email that you sent from yesterday. There should be an email there for you .
I just got a card from my MIL; I thought it was for my birthday, so I didn't wait to open it. Inside was a brochure and a note saying she'd donated a sheep to Heifer International in my name! The very most perfect present she could possibly have thought of! Yay!!!
